PROFICIENCY - BEGINNER

Basic level. One can understand and use everyday expressions. One can interact in a simple manner, using simple sentences.

This level introduces learners to the fundamentals of the French language, focusing on pronunciation, essential vocabulary, and simple grammatical structures. It helps learners understand and use common everyday expressions to meet basic communication needs. Through structured lessons and interactive sessions, students begin forming simple sentences and engaging in short conversations. The course emphasizes listening and speaking practice to build confidence in real-life situations such as greetings, shopping, dining, and travel. By the end of this level, students can understand familiar words and basic phrases and interact in a simple and clear manner.

Grammar Topics:

Articles (definite and indefinite), present tense of regular and irregular verbs, basic sentence structure, personal pronouns, possessive adjectives, question formation, negation, and common prepositions.

Vocabulary Focus:

Numbers, days and months, colors, family members, common objects, basic food items, professions, hobbies, and essential everyday vocabulary for practical communication.

PROFICIENCY - ELEMENTARY

One can understand commonly used expressions. One can communicate in a simple manner, using simple sentences and common phrases.
One can describe and or use simple phrases to talk about people, living conditions, daily activities, and likes and dislikes.
One can communicate in simple and routine tasks.

At this level, learners continue building on their beginner skills to communicate more freely in everyday situations. You’ll be able to describe people, daily routines, likes and dislikes, and express opinions in simple sentences. The focus is on improving fluency, understanding common phrases, and developing listening skills to follow basic conversations. Interactive exercises, role plays, and discussions make learning fun and effective. You’ll begin to handle common social interactions with confidence — from shopping and traveling to casual chats about your life and surroundings.

Grammar Topics:

Passé composé, imparfait, future proche, comparative and superlative forms, direct and indirect object pronouns, reflexive verbs, imperative mood, and more complex sentence structures.

Vocabulary Expansion:

Clothing, transportation, travel, shopping, restaurants, health and wellness, weather expressions, and extended vocabulary for daily life situations and social interactions.

PROFICIENCY - MODERATE

One can understand and discuss various topics encountered in daily life and give their opinion about such topics.
One can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst traveling in an area where the language is spoken.
One can enter into a conversation on familiar topics (e.g. work, school, hobbies, etc).

The B1 level equips learners to communicate independently and effectively in social, academic, and professional contexts. You will be able to understand and discuss topics encountered in everyday life, such as work, education, leisure, and culture. The course enhances your ability to handle unexpected situations while traveling, hold conversations with native speakers, and express opinions on familiar topics. With an emphasis on fluency, accuracy, and practical vocabulary, this level bridges the gap between basic knowledge and advanced expression, preparing learners for professional or academic use of French.

Grammar Topics:

Subjunctive mood, conditional tense, relative pronouns, passive voice, indirect speech, complex sentence structures, all past tenses in depth, and advanced verb conjugations.

At this level, you’ll experience the richness of the French language through deeper interaction and cultural immersion. Learners develop the ability to express ideas fluently, debate viewpoints, and participate in advanced discussions with native speakers. You’ll explore more sophisticated grammar and vocabulary, allowing you to understand and respond to complex topics in personal, academic, and professional settings. This course emphasizes spontaneity, articulation, and confidence, empowering you to express opinions clearly, support arguments, and engage in real-world conversations effortlessly. By the end of this level, you’ll be well-prepared to use French naturally in diverse environments.
