By the end of this level, learners will be able to read and write basic Korean, understand simple conversations, and build a strong foundation for further study.

Grammar Topics:

Subject and object markers (?/?, ?/?), topic marker (?/?), basic verb conjugation in present tense, location particles (?, ??), honorific particles and verb forms, negative sentences (?, ? ??), and fundamental sentence endings for statements and questions.

Vocabulary Focus:

Essential everyday vocabulary including greetings, family terms, common objects, food and beverages, numbers and counting, time expressions, colors, basic verbs and adjectives, and foundational words for daily communication.

Writing System:

Korean Level 3 is an Elementary Korean course for students who have already completed a Beginners course.

This level is designed for students who already know the basics of Korean and are ready to communicate more freely. You’ll learn to express yourself in simple everyday situations — from ordering food to describing routines or expressing preferences. The focus is on building fluency, listening comprehension, and practical vocabulary. You’ll also explore Korean culture through activities, songs, and real-life conversations. The lessons make learning enjoyable and immersive, helping you connect your language skills with real-world situations.

Grammar Expansion:

Past tense forms (?/?/?)("did", "was/were", "had"), future tense expressions (?, ? ???)(will / going to), verb conjunctions (?, ??, ??), expressing ability and possibility, reason and cause markers, purpose expressions (?/??), comparative forms, and expanded use of honorifics in various contexts.

Vocabulary Development:

Expanded vocabulary for daily activities, clothing and fashion, transportation modes, directions and locations, health and body parts, weather and nature, emotions and feelings, Korean currency and shopping terms, and practical phrases for various social situations.

Communication Skills:

Building longer conversations, understanding context in dialogues, appropriate speech level selection, expressing opinions politely, asking for clarification, and developing natural conversational flow in Korean.

The course introduces more complex sentence structures, idiomatic expressions, and grammar patterns. Students will learn to handle topics such as travel experiences, asking for favors, and sharing opinions. The focus is on real-life communication, listening comprehension, and cultural awareness. Participants will develop confidence in engaging with native speakers and understanding natural Korean speech in various contexts.

This level is designed for learners aiming for fluency and natural expression in Korean. You’ll work on refining pronunciation, mastering intonation, and learning to sound like a native speaker. The course focuses on advanced conversation, comprehension of complex topics, and writing structured texts. Learners will engage in debates, discussions, and presentations while exploring Korean media, literature, and culture. By the end of this course, you’ll be able to express nuanced opinions, recognize subtle meanings, and communicate comfortably in both professional and social environments.
